Oct 14, 2009 Bottle. Good aroma of oatmeal, chocolate, roast grains and vanilla. Bolack body with chcolate milk colored head. Vanilla sweet rich texture as the main flavor. Also some oatmeal in the mix as well as a dry coco on the palate. Smooth enjoyable beer to drink.

Oct 13, 2009 Jet black pour from a bottle - little to no head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and molasses. Taste is dessert in a bottle - chocolatey roasted malt with a coffee flavor and some dark fruit and alcohol. Ranks up with the Breakfast Stout and one of my favorite Founders offerings. I am going to pick up some more to cellar - something to look forward to next winter.

Oct 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours jet black. Definately has the similiar roasted malt taste like the other stouts I have had. For the most part, its pretty easy to drink. The alc.% warmth tingles the tongue just a touch, but it doesn’t take away from how smooth this is. Pretty damn decent drink, and easy to drink considering its plus 10% alc. Solid beverage. I actually liked it more then the Breakfast Stout.

Oct 3, 2009 Pours jet black with almost no head. Aroma of chocolate, smoke, lacto, and raisins. Flavor is chocolate and dark fruit with a very bitter and roasted finish. A bit thin and under carbonated for my liking. Still good though.

Sep 28, 2009 Sampled at another monday night football tasting over at scottyp’s. Near black pour with minimal brown head. Sweet roasty nose is overpowering in the flavor, massive sweet cherry almost sickly sweet. This is a decent imp stout, but way too rich for me.

Sep 23, 2009 Bottle from my supervisor...Proot that I must be doing something good at work.
DAABSTOAMPN. Thats Dark as a black steers toucous on a moonless prarie night for all of you non Lebowski-ites out there. Photon eater as well. Gentle nose of cereals as it pours from the bottle. Burnt sienna head. Nose builds to tart coffee. Head craters and clings to sides of glass, eventually staying at a nice quarter inch as it warms for twenty minutes and is steadilly renewed. First touch yields a head shaking bitterness that nearly leaves me with a slight concussion. Large quaff mellos the acrid tartness. Body is shortlived and has some lingering heat. Alcohol is well hidden but you start to feel this critter pretty fast. Glad the coffe bits toned them selves down a notch or two as it warmed.

Sep 20, 2009 POurs pitch black with thin brown head. Nose is alcohol, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, licorice, fig. Flavor is thick chewey cocoa and roasted malt. Licorice, figs, smoke and bitter hops. Awesome. Awesome.
