From the bottle, poured a deep pitch black with no tints on the edges below a thin dark-tan head. Left great lacing. Aroma is a blast of chocolate, roasted and burnt malts, raisins?, and alcohol. Flavors include sweet, alcohol, and roasted malt notes. Thiiiick, smooth, and mouthfilling body... oatmeal maybe? Leaves a lingering roasty/hoppy finish. Delicious.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Bottle. Oily black pour with a reddish brown pillowy head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted barley. Extremely creamy and full bodied. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, and a little dry at the back end. Awesome. drowland (1429), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Pours opaque black with a really dark brown head that is thick and lingers - lots of lacing. The nose is huge roast with coffee, chocolate, and a blast of sour dark fruits with a hiiiiint of alcohol. The flavor is huge roasted malts, a touch bitter even, with chocolates and dark fruits hanging by the wayside in the background. There is a hint of the high ABV. kmyers8807 (35), Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle. Pour was black, with a finger of head. Taste of dark fruit, chocolate, and coffee. I little big for my liking, but thats what you get with an imperial stout. arminjewell (135), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Smells of chocolate and burnt bitterness with some nice smoke. Tastes is upfront very dark and bitter chocolate, with a nice chocolate and bitter smoke ending with nice coffee undertones. Excellent impy stout that all others should try to imitate! Best mouthfeel I’ve ever had. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland

Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Predominant flavors of toasted coffee beans, chocolate, and molasses. The lacing left behind was incredible. One of the best Imperial Stouts that I’ve had. Thanks, Son!
