Pours a jetblack color with a small bubbly beighe head. Aroma is dominated by coffee but still filled with roasted malt, liquorice, rich dark chocolat and some suprsingly subtle bourbon notes. A bit of an sharp ashy tone can be felt aswell. Taste is pretty sweet with some big notes of boubon, liquorice, dark chocolat, coffee and some oaky notes. Small doses of vanilla and smoke/tar is detected. Some hot alcohol can be felt but it’s not overpowering. Would love to try an aged bottle of this. LooseCannon (927), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

Pour was jet black with absolutely no head, even with the ruff pour I gave it. Nose is vanilla, dark chocolate, oak, roasted malt, light coffee, and bourbon. Taste is strong black espresso, dark chocolate, bourbon, and brown sugar with a lingering light vanilla espresso finish. This is one of the most intense brews I have ever sampled. So many flavors, so sharply independent, yet blended with the perfection of Michelangelo’s brush. A truly fantastic brew! awiseman01 (342), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Pours pitch black with brown creamy head. Good bourbon aroma on to of the normal breakfast stout hints. Very nice smooth mouthfeel and taste. Goes down very easy for 12% (on board). Sweet, coffee, chocolate, bourbon...SO easy to drink...and SO tasty! Gald I have a bottle in my cellar. mspindler (301), Alta Loma, California, USA

Not my glass. Tons of coffee in the aroma mixing with some sweet bourbon notes along with some vanilla and chocolate. Flavor is a huge explosion of coffee, bourbon, roasted malts, and chocolate. Lots of vanilla sweetness rounds up the end with a lightly bitter and lasting coffee finish at the very end. I think this rivals the Bourbon County for my taste. Nose of coffee, chocolate but no real bourbon here. Taste has the bourbon for sure with dark chocolate and a roasty linger to finish it off. No bitterness left on the palette, this is thick and delicious.
