Commercial Description:
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

I dont honestly feel like discribing this beer. Its very hard to type since i have had a massive (not that massive actually) erection since i poured it! However i will say that If you still think that bud light is good... DO NOT DRINK THIS BEER! you will be wasting it on yourself. It is far far far too complex for you too understand that this is not just some awesome party time, keg stand beer to drink while you and your frat bros. gang bang the cheerleader with the lowest self esteem due too her lazy eye. This is a work of brewing perfection, hand crafted to give you a source of inspiration! So high five your buddy while your balls slap together and reach in the fridge for another ice cold bud light.... you can put this one off for a while!

Love it. Smells like a Hershey chocolate bar with a strong alcohol presence. The taste is bold and complex. Dark chocolate and coffee smack you in the face followed by a strong bourbon aftertaste. Its warming, delicious, and everything I want in a stout.

Pours a deep black with a minimal brown head. Giant nose, dominated by roasted coffee. Again, coffee flavors dominate the palate, along with some chocolate, toffee, and caramel flavors. Bourbon aging is done correctly with this beer. With just a hint of bourbon in the mouth, its presence is not overbearing. It’s also felt warming the finish. Not as much bittersweet chocolate as the original, this beer is still world class and I can’t rate it any lower than it’s brother. Easily drinkable and equally decadent. An awesome brew, thanks Ron!

A thick black substantial pour with perhaps the darkest hued head I have seen. Aroma of coffee beans, sweet chocolate, and roasted nut. Feel is thick and almost powdery. This is such a smooth beer. Flavors of coffee that is full of creamer, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, and a smidge of hop all cascade to the side of the tongue. Alcohol warmth is felt but not tasted. This beer is just so easy to drink. It doesn’t overwhelm like some impy stouts but definitely awes one. As good as Founders Breakfast Stout is this one surpasses it. Oak aging does such wonderful things to a beer. This is an example. It makes a terrific beer GREAT!

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark black with a ruby head and lots of lace. Big aroma of rich chocolaty malt and traces of bourbon. Flavor is slightly sweet malt with tones of chocolate, coffee, and with some bourbon kick, but not at all overpowering like I feared. The initial stout is somewhat subdued, more so than there regular imperial, which really allows the bourbon to come through without being overpowering. Has a noticeable alcohol character throughout. Very drinkable, complex, not overdone, really outstanding.

Coffee dominates the aroma, there is no hint about it,every sniff gives you a different sensation, always coffee ,but next time with oakiness and chocolate, next time with vanilla and smoke. What at first seems a single aspect aroma, quickly becomes very complex. Just to much of everything for any bourbon to come through. The taste is heavy coffee mocha and as you start swallowing, that bourbon taste starts becoming evident. Very full bodied,a perfect balance of bourbon aging, just a touch to much coffee to get a perfect score. The bourbon becomes a little more evident as it warms

Bottle. Pours like dirty motor oil. Like mud. Black with brown foamy head and excellent lacing. Aroma is super powerful. Coffee, caramel, high quality bitter chocolate, whiskey, fairly dry...wow.
