Pours a dark brown, almost black and thick like motor oil. Thin light brown head. Some lacing on the glass. Kinda incredible smell of bourbon, alcohol, ashes, wood and roastiness with some chocolate. Thick mouthfeel. This is one rich tasting, decadent brew! Taste flavors of chocolate, wood, alcohol and coffee. Slightly bitter chocolate aftertaste. Swalden28 (1515), McKinney, Texas, USA

Aroma smacks you in the face with coffee, hints of bourbon. Flavor doesn’t let up after that, strong espresso, bourbon, little oak. Mouth feel is heavy body, creamy, low carbonation. Overall, this is an excellent stout, loved it! Try cold and allow to warm, then taste again. Very nice beer! jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA

The nose is liking smelling a glass of bourbon. Huge woody with massive dark chocolate and coffee. The bourbon nose is just insane. Flavor is rich dark chocolate up front. Then big woody vanilla notes of bourbon and a dry super roasty coffee finish and another warming dose of bourbon. This is a sipping beer. Its not shy on the alcohol burn but man this is tasty stuff. I really have not been into Imperial Stouts at all recetly, but I really really enjoyed this one. It was a perfect oil black pour with a nice dark khaki head (that needs a tall vigorous pour to stir up). The aroma was vanilla, oak, and chocolate. The flavor was the same but with a major step up. The flavor with the palate made it taste and feel like a nice rich chocolate milkshake. The abv. was hidden very well. IT got hotter as it warmed but was still very cozy and tasty. So smooth and easygoing. If you like imperial stouts you need to try this. If you don’t (like me as of recently) you still need to taste this. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Not overly bourbon-ized like some other brews. So much to enjoy with this one. AndyReynolds (288), Wilder, Kentucky, USA

Aroma is strong with cofee, chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon. The flavor is very strong with coffee, but the bourbon and the chocolate stand out in the bitter finish. I have had the breakfest stout before and this is 100% better. awiseman01 (375), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
