Sep 5, 2007 I thought this beer was amazing. Unfortunately, i was only able to drink one of them, because my father drank the other three while i was at work one night, and exclaimed "it tastes like moxy"

Mar 22, 2008 How this isn’t in the top 10, I’ll never know. This is the best Imperial Stout I’ve ever had.
Jet black with a small foamy head, this brew smells wonderful with loads of chocolate, coffee, and the touch of bourbon.
Taste is more of the same. It’s just better than the rest that I’ve tried.

May 15, 2009 12oz bottle from bruisin’ ales, 2009 release. pours a beautiful, oily, slick black with a thin, chocolate brown head. aroma is outstanding with big notes of fine bourbon, dark roasted coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla, and smoked wood. damn this smells great. flavor is one of those "my goodness" moments when words are hard to come by to describe how wonderful this brew is. huge roast coffee notes up front, with oaked bourbon and vanilla blending in seamlessly, followed by dark, bitter chocolate, and hints of dark red fruits and roasted nuts rounding out the sip. finishes with a semi-sweet hit of chocolate, coffee, and lovely bourbon. palate is silky smooth, full bodied, and simply a pleasure to drink. overall, nothing short of perfect.

May 30, 2008 I’ve only had it on tap at Founders, and the results sometimes vary depending on what cask you get. I’ve only had one mediocre experience with the Kentucky Breakfast. The other two times? Friggin’ orgasmic. I’m not kidding. It’s not for everyone (especially folks who aren’t fond of bourbon), but if you have the chance to give it a spin, seize it.

I ’m a huge fan of the regular Breakfast Stout, but this was heads and shoulders above the regular version in every, single, way.
It smells like, chocolate whiskey if that makes sense. You get the coffee/chocolate initial blast that the Breakfast Stout is known for, followed by the whiskey nose.
The taste was, quite simply, a darker whiskey infused Breakfast Stout.
Fantastic. Next year I am finding more than just 2 bottles of this, it is THAT good.
IF you see it, buy it on the spot.

Apr 19, 2009 Bottle pour.This was absolutely wonderful.The coffee ,vanilla flavors and bourbon were very well balanced,and the oak comes through just enough.Was actually very smooth for a stout and easy to drink.A+
