HOOOLLLYYY SHHHIIITTT!!!
I know thats annoying and cliche, but damn, this is the best damn beer I’ve had that I can remember.
On the pour it’s all motor oil, with a limp head that dies early. I figure Whiskey doesnt have a head when you pour it, so this wont have much either.
The smell is huge: coffee, whiskey, dark chocalate, english toffee, and sweet molassis. I’m sure I’m missing something but it’s just too big.
The taste is strong as hell at first. Like a meaner Breakfast stout, but it mellows and molds to a subtle and complex beer (is beer the right word?). It’s got a lot of a whiskey/cognac taste in it, but that serves to temper and smooth out the coffee roast. Without becoming repetitive and long winded...this beer is f-in amazing.
BUY IT AT ALL COSTS!!! kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Pours a pitch black with a huge tan head that has lots of staying power. Nose is smokey coffee, chocolate, wood and vanilla, not necessarily in that order, lol...i think this may perhaps be the best aroma i have ever inhaled in a beer, lets hope it tastes like it smells! Oh and it does, with a wonderfully flush woody bourban and dry cocoa finish...ummm this is great great stuff!! Body is medium, carbonation is light/medium. Love em and leave em. nearbeer (1835), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Nose of smoked Baby Ruth candy bar: chocolate, charred mesquite, vanilla, peanuts and caramel. Taste is the same with some added whiskey and vanilla. Medium-heavy body is dangerously smooth, watery and drinkable. Some bits of peppery alcohol warming on the finish. Holtguy (25), Michigan, USA

Anyway, outstanding beer, strong bourbon notes balance the coffee brilliantly. It’s a heavy, high alcohol brew so it takes some time to consume, which makes it all the better. zizzybalubba (376), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA

Amazing aroma of bourbon, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. Color is black with a very thin brown head; it appears to be very thick. Strong coffee and chocolate flavor up front with a vanilla and alcohol finish. The bourbon aging gives a wonderful vanilla flavor that really does not taste boozy like you would expect from bourbon. Good luck finding this one, but if you do you will not find many beers better than this. Phenomenal. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Appearance: Solid black pour with a very thin brown head. Aroma: Freaking awesome. Coffee dominates, but notes of dark chocolate are present. Maybe some roasted malt. Flavor: Roasted malt and coffee mainly, but a bit of chocolate and bourbon are present. Palate: Full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Overall: Best so far. Love this beer. Glad I have more. Wish it was a tad cheaper though.

DYNAMITE!!!
