Commercial Description:
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Bottle fron Ughsmash. Pours jet black into the glass. Strong bitter coffee aroma seems to dominate. Light vanilla and bourbon. Smells alot like a flavored coffee. Sweet chocolate and coffee up front. Some vanilla, then moving into some bitter coffee and bourbon. Only a touch of woodiness. A touch of alcohol. No wonder stouts dominate the top 50, there are some damn good ones out there. Awesome.

Silky thick black liquid slides into the glass and created only a thin lid of gleaming brown bubbles. Strong coffee, roasted barley and dark chocolate in the aroma. A nice aroma, but for me nothing that is overly complex. Much like some of the IIPAs for hopheads, this is a stout for the stouties. LIght vanilla on the front of the palate. This is smooth and oh so rich in feel. Smooth bourbon, light vanilla and a rich chocolate flavors bounces about the mouth. A touch of toasted coconut and almond give a mild almond joy flavor. Easily quaffable. Much more enjoyable than the breakfast stout, for me. Rick, thick smooth and chocolaty. This is a beer stout shake with just a hint of bourbon that tickles the senses and is alluring and enticing. A wonderful brew.

Bottle. Black body, small dense tan head, woody nose with a healthy splash of bourbon and chocolate notes. Very strong whisky flavors, with coffee/chocolate very much in the background, and some burnet roastiness. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it greatly.

’06 RBSG Dark beer with a dark brown head that fades to a lasting ring very quickly. Nose of old ashes and coffee grounds. Lots of coffee flavors, burnt malts, plums, raisens, maple syrup, tobacco, all chased by a solid alcohol burn. Very delicious beer.

Pours a slick viscous body. Minimal head that disappears quickly and no carbonation. Lies lifeless in the glass. But wait, there is life. A pungent aroma slowly climbs out of the glass and wafts across the room. Rich and powerful. Roasted malts, strong bitter coffee, light alcoolic notes and raisins. Color is black with a light crimson ring around the top in a strong light. Strong and flavorful. Lots of coffee and roasted grains hit you up front. Light alcohol presence is masked in all of the flavor. Brown sugar, molasses and carbon mixes in mid swallow. Burbon is present in just a touch and melds very well with the other flavors. Finishes a little dry and bitter. Big and powerful brew but amazingly easy drinking. A top notch impy.

12 oz bottle. Aroma that makes you just say Holy Crap. Big espresso and not much else really, but if you like great coffee, this is the shit. Holds a brown head nicely also. Smooth body is first thing thats noticeable. Then the bourbon taste that almost makes you forget your drinking a beer. Not bad but I wish there was just abit more espresson in the flavor. Smooth but not so creamy, if that makes any sense. Very good yeah, but give me a 750 ml Speedway for $10 instead of 12 ounces for $6.

Sample from 12oz bottle. Nose is spicy, meaty, rich coffee, intensely strong and robust, rich, creamy amaretto and black tar smoky bourbon scents. Rich dark roast coffee flavors, with a little "bacon" smoked meat in there. Very thick, sticky, robust, fresh, and sharp. The burnt bourbon and wood flavors are amazing.
