Growler pour at Rozi’s pours light red color with white head. Aroma is cherry, caramel, vanilla, and some bourbon. Luscious mouthfeel. Flavor follows the nose exactly. The barrel makes me think I’m sipping on a caramel covered cherry soaking in bourbon. Very tasty.

On tap at Founders. Poured red with an orange hue and an off-white head. Aroma has a strong alcohol note with cherries, very cherries jubilees-esque. The sweet cherries combine well with the alcohol note, a bit of tartness towards the finish.

draft at the brewpub: red with fizzy bubbles, aroma of bourbon, taste is bourbon, sour cherry, slightly carbonated, light but the bourbon takes this beer to a different level...glad I got to try

Draft at founders. Big red pour with a sugary white head. Aroma of strong cherries, confectioners sugar, strong alcohol and maybe a touch of caramel. Flavor is strong, alcoholic cherry and a bit of vanilla alcohol burn. Maybe a bit of oak. Honestly, couldnt tell this was in a bourbon barrel until I saw it here. Seemed more like a strong cherry ale, but with a nice body that kept everything together.

Draft at founders... Pours a semi-transparent red rasperry with a thin frothy white head... Aroma of sweet confection, brown sugar and maple with obvious cherry and red fruit notes. Some added vanilla notes... Flavors are sweet with maple/vanilla with cherry flavors. Not too tart and mostly sweet. Nice but wouldn’t be able to handle more than a few.

On tap at Founders. Ruddy orange-red body, no head, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Sweet, tart cherry nose with wispy alcohol notes. Tart, sweet, rich cherry syrup body with oak and alcohol, the "cherry wine" aspect enhanced by tight carbonation. Intense fruit beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy red with small pinkish head. Aroma is light bourbon that blends very well with the sweet cherry especially the vanilla, some alc but subdued. Flavor is slightly like a less alcy cherry liquor, some alc, really nice, I could see a full pour of this getting a bit cloying but delicious in small amounts. Medium, syrupy with light carbonation. Very well done.

newaygo cherrys used to make a cherry ale that was then aged in maple barrels..tap..medium red pour (NITRO) with nitro head..i dont think this is the cerise that has been aged...aroma of cherry, maple and vanilla..flavor is very similar and is more sweet than tart (obv due to the aging in maple barrels)..very nice.
