On tap at founders. Pours dark brown with little head. Taste is of coffee and oatmeal. This just isn’t one of my favorites from founders.

big creamy nitro ice cream head, very creamy chocolate notes in the flavor matched with a very dry dark roast finish, a bit thin on the palate but very full in flavor

On tap @ Founders. Pours stout brown with an off-white head. Nose is roast, coffee, dark chocolate, and bitterness. Flavor is similar with roast, dark chocolate, bitterness, and earthy chicory. Medium-light bodied, dry-finishing oatmeal stout.

On tap at Founders 7/18/09. Pours a deep brown with a head that never dies..I was told this was a nitro, which I guess may explain the whipped topping looking head. About three fingers high. Aroma is incredibly weak, even after a warm up period of about 20 minutes. Smells faintly of oats and soap. Taste is very plain with notes of roasted malt, oats and light coffee. Very creamy palate, compares to a Guiness

On tap at Founder’s... This looked beautiful, with a great brown head that stuck around for quite a while. Aroma was faint, but what did come through was some roast and some sweetness. Flavor was pretty bland and watery. Overall it looked good, but it was just a bit too watery and bland with nothing really going on.

on tap at brewpub during a long birthday weekend. this beer followed CBS, bourbon IS, and KBS nitro- so not sure if this is a fair rating. at about 2/5 the ABV of those other beers, it was refreshing at the time. Very smooth. pours a dark brown with a light tan head. creamy head. some milk chocolate. ok.

On nitro at the brewpub. Opaque black with nitro head with lacing. Dry roast with slight coffee aroma, very light. Flavor is medium dry-semi-sweet bitter chocolate, roast, some coffee. Medium to light body, little to no carb. Very easy drinking stout but nothing too exciting.
