Had 12oz of this great ale in a glass at the brewery yesterday. almost everything i expected, but I almost was looking for more hops. maybe because i just had a centennial before it, but this just felt like a weaker one. still good though, i should’ve tried this first. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2007 A nice homage to SNPA and why mess with a good thing. A well balanced citrus hops aroma with mildly sweet caramel malts. Highly drinkable, clean aftertaste, but at 6% there wont be too many bottles in the session. k4df4l (154), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Bottle - Pours hazy light copper with foamy head. Aroma is cascades hoppy bouquet with some light malt and biscuity notes. Flavor blooms from floral and citrus hop notes to toasted malt and caramel sweetness finishes with some spice but a bit piney. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear, deep golden body with a bubbly, lasting off-white head.
Smell: Soft citrus aroma with some toasted malt notes floating around in there, too.
Taste: Light caramel malt flavor with a citrus hop snap to it. Only a slight bitterness, with a green tea-ish leafy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied, and a bit watery; could definitely benefit from more body. Moderately carbonated.
Drinkability: Inoffensively light and crisp, though what you gain in sessionability, you lose in depth of character. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
