Commercial Description:
A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

Thanks to RagallachMC for the bottle. Pours clear amber/orange with a medium head. Fair lacing. Aroma of pale malts and perfumy hops. Taste was spicy fresh orange peel with some caramel malt. Medium-light body. Bitter finish.

Pours a clear amber with very little head, with an initial aroma of grapefruit hops. The taste is a nice inital blast of bitter and citrus hops, balanced by a solid malt flavor. Decent finish on it, and an enjoyable beer.

Pours a cloudy golden hue with a minimal white head. Fresh, crisp floral nose is met with a clean, easy drinking body. A nice amount of hops, great for an everyday pale ale. Nice example of the style.

12 oz. bottle. Volcanic, massive, milkshake thick head made up of medium sized bubbles which do not go away. Neverending sticky lace. Golden clear pour with lots of sediment in the bottle. Floral aroma with a little citrus. Bitter on the front with an expanding warmness that fills the mouth with joy. This beer gets better as I get into it.

Pours a copper color from 12oz bottle to pint glass. Little head and practicaly no lacing. Smell is mild pine hops with a very mild carmel malt behind it. Taste is primarily piney hops with a touch of grapefruit and very mild sweetness from the malts. Very dry, bitter finish. More bitter than most APAs. Light mouthfeel. A little too much unbalanced bitters for me. Drinkability suffers from the bitterness. Good, not great APA. Great value at $1.25.

12oz.Bottle Founder’s Pale Ale poured clear golden with some tiny sediment floating throughout my glass. A white bubbly head sits on top but quickly fades to a thin coating. Moderate carbonation rises from the bottom of my pint glass. Smells good. I’m picking up slightly sweet malt. Grainy and floral. There is also a small amount of perfume from the hops. Smells inviting. Unfortuanately the flavor is somewhat weak. There isn’t hardly anything up front. Mid palate the hops make their appearence. They bring a floral character that is pleasing but a little dull. A short lived bitterness follows but it doesn’t stick around very long before there is nothing left. Mouthfeel is a disappointment. Very watery along with minimal carbonation. It would be easy to drink a lot of these but I wouldn’t want to. It’s just not flavorful enough. Sampled 10/19/06
