| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2009 Bottle back from greensboro. Color is a dark yellow almost orange with a frothy off white head that lasts for some time. Copious bubbles rising up the glass to hold the head right where it is. Straight floral hop aroma. Citrus, orange and fading to grapefruit hop flavor. More hop forward than many an APA I have, which I enjoy. Decent drink but nothing incredibly memorable. Would take this as a lawnmowing beer any day. satan165 (599), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | May 3, 2009 clean aroma, hops are mostly floral here as found in a freshly scrubbed euro lager. the lager parallels continue with the ’flat’ mouthfeel (not a reference to carbonation). it glides square across the tongue without any round center, but within its pre christopher columbus shape lives light esthers and hops without their stereotypical bitterness. well balanced, but the hops ’win’ (as they should). i agree this is a great lawn mowin beer, much moreso then the typical fodder of kolschs and other dull or even bland pale lagers typically associated with the season. daknole (2984), Plantation, Florida, USA

Pours a hazy light amber, big thick pillowy inch of off white head that lasts well. Smells of light floral notes, some grapefruit citrus notes, and a smooth caramel sweetness. Flavor shows more citrus than the nice- nice tamed citrus bite of grapefruit and lemons. Even bitterness that provides a nice bite without being super hoppy. Smooth grainy sweet bread and caramel malt flavors. Very well balanced. Palate is also very good- full flavor without being heavy, smooth lightly bitter dry finish. Maybe a tad bit heavy on the carbonation. Overall an outstanding pale ale. FlssmrBrewAlum (1167), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of Three Cellars (Franklin, WI). Pours a golden straw, lotta haze, with huge white cakey bubbly head that laces well. Aromas are a nice moderate citrus melange: lemon, grapefruit, and orange with light floral and mellow sweetness lent to graininess and pale malts. Nothing overdone. Initial takes on some powerful hop, florals and lemon and grapefruit juice make a strong impression with moderate piney resin. Pale malts, with grainy breadiness with a touch carmel taking it a bit deeper. Medium bodied, good by the book APA with impressive appearance. A winner, with good hop appeal for the style. Cheers! sigma23 (235), , Maine, USA
