Strong aroma of grapefruit. Fairly sweet with light, soft doughy malt. the lightness and softness allows for full access to the citrusy, perfumy hops. Very up front and hop driven. A focused pale ale up to Founders high standards! kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bottle at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, Wallingatan; 35 IBU, 5.4% ABV Golden color. The aroma is initially grassy; it’s also a bit creamy and dusty, meaty; ah, there is some malt too. Medium-light body, with dry toffee flavor and strong bitterness; the hop brings only a very light fruity touch, and there is a rare rose flower aftertaste. I can’t see much of the promised Cascade, but it’s still a god thirst-quenching beer. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA
