Commercial Description:
Dark, Rich, and Sexy. Chocolate malts and four varieties of hops make this a very full flavored ale.

Served in an imperial pint from a tap at 3 Floyds, there was not much of a head atop this deep brownish black brew. Whiffs of roasted coffee and chocolate invite a sip which confirms my nostrils’ findings. While the malts dominate, the hops keep it balanced and enjoyable.

Aroma is chocolate, a touch of smoke, dark malts, cocoa, and sugar. Appearance is rich mahogany with no real head to speak of. Taste is thin chocolate, some maltiness, sourness, and smoke (also umami). Finish is sweet and smooth. Very faint hop presence. Drinkable and true to style

Compliments of DuffmanSW also enjoyed with mspindler. Dark black with brown tasty head. Aroma of coffee and cinnamon. Taste is smokey, roasted coffee, dusty, sweet fruits. Medium body that’s very nice. Most porters I have had are usually really thin. Overall very good porter, one of the best I’ve had.

I had this at Bar Louie in Novi with BeerBaron617 the other night. It was from a pretty fresh keg, so it was especially tasty. I am slowly growing in to porters and stouts, and this one proves to make the grade for me at this time. A great black pour with a medium tan head that leaves quickly. It’s got a great aroma of chocolate and coffee, typical of porters, and the nose translated to the taste. Very great body/mouth feel, not too thick, not too thin, just right. It’s got a great flavor.

Had this at the Pinhook, Durham, NC. Very roasted taste and aroma. Flavour held many classic Porter elements in place and conducted it’s execution on my tastebuds in style.

bottle 12o oz. - Poured dark brown almost black with medium beige head that faded. Aroma - roasted chocolate malt, smokey and also mild coffee scent. Flavor - Roasted smokey coco taste. Some roasted almonds and coffee grounds! Palate - medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. Finish is dry and has aftertaste!(ashy) Overall - OK Porter but not what I expected. Fullers London Porter is far superior!!

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: thick dark brown ale with mid plus dark tanned top , some lace. 3+
Nose: Aromatic , clean black roast with fresh hops. Nice blend. Sweet dark ash with chocolate and walnuts.
Flavor/Palate :Mid full bodied. Roast but that quality checked , slight sourness on walls, smooth and balanced. Felt complete. Highly recommended well rounded strong porter.
