Dark, Rich, and Sexy. Chocolate malts and four varieties of hops make this a very full flavored ale.

This porter is highly rated on this site but I’ve tasted far better porters. This ale is too roasted, too bitter, too metallic. The overly roasted malts dont allow for the smoothness or sweetness of superior porters like Samual Smith’s Taddy Porter.

Extremely drinkable, dark brown verging on black pour with minimal off white frothy head. Aroma of robust coffee, dark chocolates, and heavier malts. Goes down very smooth, and at 6.5 alc I think I’ll have another.

tle from the brewer 3 months ago. Pours jet black with lots of brown foam in head, that leaves a spider lace trail. Aroma of roasted malts, and a hint of mollasses. As we drink through the pint, chocolate malts are noticed in aroma as well as taste. Carbonation is right there, and refreshing. Anise and chocolate in residual.Great porter.Average mouthfeel, smooth drinking.

From a bottle poured dark brown with almost no head. Nice sweet toasted malty flavor with a lingering finish.

Thick oil like dark pour. Dark tan head. Toffee cream malt aroma. Some roast and chocolate. Bitter flavor. Creamy with a roasted hop finish.

Aroma-burnt malt is first smell, then a slight alcohol smell. Not an awful aroma but not good either. Appearance-head is too think. Not a good example of Porter but average. Flavor-the roasted malt dominates the flavor but not a bad flavor. Slightly above average. Palate-bitterness lingers but so does alcohol taste. Slightly better than average. Overall-Probably would not drink again but if I had to, I could. Not a bad beer but not a very good one either.
