Pours black with a deep ruby glow allowing a bit of light through only at the edges with a very thin lingering tan head that leaves good lacing, gorgeous beer... Aromas of roasty malts, chocolate, coffee and subtle dark fruits(raisens, prune)... Taste continues the trend with a mildly creamy, roasty flavor with big notes of bitter chocolate and coffee... Very drinkable porter with a roasty lingering medium bodied finish... Overall, this is a lower ABV, less creamy version of breakfast stout... Awesome beer, easily in the top few porters i’ve ever had...

Best porter I’ve had. Pours a rich black with a great head. Aroma is chocolate and roast. Flavor is big and bold, full of chocolate, malt, and hops. Perfect balance. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy, which works great with the chocolate. Almost like drinking liquid fudge. Roasted finish, no stickiness at all. Did I mention chocolate? Fantastic.

Bottle, purchased from Bella Vista beverage, bottled on 12/5/08. Pours dark but not particularly thick relative to recent stouts (Ten Fidy, Southern Tier Choklat, etc.). Excellent aroma, not too thick on the mouthfeel; deep, roasty feel and plenty going on. The 45 IBU is right about where it should be-- I could enjoy this a bit less bitter, but it really balances things out to keep any sweetness from becoming cloying. I really love this, but wish it was lower alcohol so I could have a few more.

Crushed with Jakebra. Big thanks to Honkeybra for this. Huge beer. Thick, oily pour. An absolute knockout of a beer. So thick and chocolaty. The description says it all. This is definitely dark, rich, and sexy.

Deep roasted malt aroma, some plums and char. Very dark pour with very little light brown head. Very full bodied and creamy. Tons of rich chocolate, toasted caramel, slight cherry fruit and a hoppy swallow. Exquisite.

A wonderful beer. Pours a gorgeous black color with just a tad bit of light coming through on the sides. Fairly thick tan head. Loads of roasty coffee aroma along with some sweet scented chocolate. Great roasted malt taste. Strong chocolate in the middle. Just the right amount of bittering at the finish. Velvety mouth feel. I could drink this all day.

12oz bottle from armenetti’s....pours very close to black with barely brown edges and a thin tan head that quickly gravitates towards the sides of the glass....aroma is a little yeasty with chocolate, a little roast.....generally sweet with more pronouncedroasted malt, and chocolate flavors. incredibly smooth with moderate carbonation and really quite drinkable. dry, almost ashy finish. def one of the best porters i have had in awhile.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a medium tan head. Malty aroma with some coffee roastiness. Nice roasty flavor, but something was off about the aftertaste. I liked this one okay, but apparently not as much as everyone else does.
