| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 16, 2007 On tap at Brixie’s, Brookfield IL. Expecting a red ale, I was pleasantly surprised at the prominent hop smell and flavor. I’m not sure if I could have picked out the rye flavor in a blind taste test. But very well balanced with a nice malt undertone. Would like to try again with a clean palate to better detect the more subtle flavors. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Color is gorgeous amber red. Aroma is a hop lovers dream. Big citrus hops. I think amarillo. Flavor is nice, balanced, sweet, hoppy, with a rye kick. The rye is great while drinking but the aftertaste is the only drawback for me. I had a glass from the tap and loved it so much I bought a six pack.
