Pour was a cloudy amber with a cute little one finger off white head. Aroma of pine and hops. Taste is a perfect balance of spice, malt and hops. The hops come out mostly in the aftertaste. How Founders gets those 3 to play nicely in the bottle and not dominate one another is why they are a great brewery! alexsdad06 (1078), Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle from Eithcubes - Thanks! Pours a hazy deep amber with a large, creamy beige head. Thick lacing. Aromatic of citrus and pine, some maltiness present. Taste is deep and resinlike, mostly piney hops with a dry citrus tail. Doesn’t have the sweet malt backbone like IPA’s with this type of hops presence. A little caramel malt is detectable. Very pleasant and easily drinkable. jstraw (755), Chicago, Illinois, USA
