Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Bright reddish-brown body with a creamy off-white head. Spicy rye, caramel malt, fig, and cinnamon aroma. Nice toasty, warm and spicy malt qualities marry nicely with the hop varieties. Great aftertaste and medium, palatable texture. This is like Arrogant Bastard with refinement. I dig it.

Thanks to Joebrew for sharing. Carmal brown color with citrus hop nose. Faint hop finish with rye character on it.

This is surprisingly similar to the Bells Harvest Ale I recently tried. Pours an amber/copper color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is somewhat citrusy/fruity, with a touch of grain, but the beer is served too cold to discern the aroma in better detail. Flavor starts with bitter, piney hops which are supported by a grainy, somewhat sweet malt backbone. Slightly tangy mouthfeel as the beer warms. Alcohol notes are negligible. Like a cross between an IPA and an amber ale.

Courtesy of Ohiodad. Poures a deep orange/red color with a fluffy head. Smells pleasant with a citrusy hop aroma. Big grapefruit and citrus rind flavor in the fore. Smooth and creamy malt in the middle and a pleasant quenching finish that leaves a bit of bitterness in the aftertase. Nicely done!

Amber color out of the bottle with a thin tan head that left no real lacing. Dark malt sugar nose. Slight tartness with plum and almost raspberry fruitiness on top of the malt sweetness. Some citrus hops in the finish. Not all that interesting.

bottle. pours an auburn coloured body with a large frothy tan head that slowly dissipates leaving a thin lacing. the aroma is potent with resiny hop notes - lots of grapefruit and creamy bread. The rye presence tends to attenuate the apparent hoppiness and it turns out to be reasonably balanced. brackish at times with moderate carbonation and liberal spiciness in the finish. I don’t know, for the most part it is pretty good but something didn’t really sit well with me. I definitely prefer the Black rye but I’ll have to revisit this one.

Bottle. Reddish copper in color with a medium off white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Malty caramel hoppy aroma. Grassy, earthy fruity hoppy notes. Malty, caramel rye floral hoppy flavor. Orange and grapefruit notes. Finish is spicy. Smooth tasting. Well balanced. Very drinkable.
