Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Bottle: red with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, rye, and caramel. Flavor, lots of citrus, caramel, and some really nice bitterness to it. I love these hoppy rye beers, and this is no exception.

A deep amber pour with a large off white head that breaks down pretty quickly. An aroma that says hops clearly with a hint of spices. A flavor that rolls with a hop bitter from the start with just a tad of malty sweetness sliding in as well. A very nice hoppy bitter finsih that really sets this beer off. A palate that is smooth and soft but not fizzy. Overall a very good beer.

Bottled. Dark hazy maroonish color. Huge foamy head. Slightly sweet aroma. Some malts and grain with decent hoppiness. Full bodied ryle flavor with some maltiness. Some dry citric hoppiness finishes it off. Pretty good.

Orange-amber, large long lasting white head, excellent lacing. Aroma is lightly rye, soapy, moderate sweetness. Flavour is sweet, light alcohol, floral hops, perfume. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, soft body, moderate carbonation. Finishes fairly quick, sweet.

More caramel than rye, soft but clean.

355ml bottle shared by beerhugger, thanks Steve.

via trade with OhioDad - Pours a deep copper color with a nice off white head that fades to a film. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Flavor is lightly sweet, fruity, and has some citrus hops to it. Medium body. Smooth and easy to drink. A very nice beer. Thanks Scott.

a deep red color w/ a big off white head.. A big grass hop and molasis aroma. The palate was rich and mildly creamy. Flavor was citrus and carmel a hint of alcohol in the finish as it warmed and a touch of something fruity. Overall a very well done beer.

Cloudy red color, small off white head that left a decent lace behind.Hoppy grapefruit aroma with a hint of malt in the background.Nice malty hop flavor with a decent grapefruit side but there is no real harsh bitterness like you might think you’d get from so much hop flavor. It actually is quite mild in the hop bite and fairly smooth.I have to say i like it alot it’s not over powering at all and quite smooth and easy to drink which is what i like in a brew with all these hops.More then worth while having a few more of these around for later.

12oz bottle. Pours a medium golden amber with a nice 2 finger thick off white head, spotty lacing. Fairly hoppy nose with hints of floral and citrus hops with a sweet caramel background. In the finish you get a good dose of caramel then turns to hop bitterness, good stuff.
