Fresh citrusy hop aroma with pine sap and sticky caramel accents. I was hoping for some rye in the aroma but no luck. Thick resinous hops coat the tongue with roasty, spicy rye notes on top. Caramel backbone throughout. I’d like to age this stuff, the hop bite is pretty sharp, but maybe the malt isn’t big enough to come forward. Regardless, this stuff is damn tasty. Really nice flavor. Hoppy, with malt. As the commercial description states, "impressively balanced." Hard to describe the individual elements. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle from Eithcubes - Thanks! Pours a hazy deep amber with a large, creamy beige head. Thick lacing. Aromatic of citrus and pine, some maltiness present. Taste is deep and resinlike, mostly piney hops with a dry citrus tail. Doesn’t have the sweet malt backbone like IPA’s with this type of hops presence. A little caramel malt is detectable. Very pleasant and easily drinkable. blipp (1723), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Updated: Jun 24, 2009Draft at Earth Bread and Brewery in Philly. Pours orange amber with an off white head. Huge piny floral hop aroma with some sweeter malt in the background. The flavor follows with more piny and floral hops, with some lighter notes of sweet malts, citrus, spices and maybe a hint of rye. Awesome. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

Pours out a nice red color with a small head that sticks to the glass as it disappears. Smells hoppy, sweet, and fruity. Taste is malty at first, and rich and powerful. Very smooth, incredibly smooth actually. A nice little hop kick, but nothing outrageous, and it doesnt linger. Finish is dry, and refreshing. I could drink multiple bottles of this with potentially devistating results. Very nice brew. SudsMcDuff (1704), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
