| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 13, 2009 12 oz. from Bruisin’. Pours copper with a small white head. The nose is very hoppy and citrus leaning. Tons of rye is also apparent. This is pretty much just bread and citrus. Taking a sip allows the flavor to follow suit appropriately. It is dry, bitter, floral, and citrusy. Hints are made at biscuits, rye, pine, and grapefruit. This is very well done with a very distinct focus on rye. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Bottle from secret santa. Thanks! Pours with a little of medium bottles. The surface carries a thin oily film. Nice hoppy soapy aroma. Clear amber color. The soap is unmistakable. Oddly enough, the aroma is pleasant, even with the soap. By the bottom of the glass, the soap aroma is gone. Sweet well balanced, with a leaning toward the hoppy side. Very nice and drinkable beer. Finished bottle, which hasn’t been happening as often lately. kiefdog (1635), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep red body with nice head. Aroma is hoppy, sweet malt and a faint rye scent that really came out as it warmed. Flavor is a nice hoppy taste, nice mlaty backbone and a really nice rye presence. I found myself drinking this pretty quickly and was wondering it’s sessionability (possible new word?) but at the higher alcohol rate I need to slow this one down and enjoy it... Pours a cloudy amber with huge 4 finger billowy beige head that lasts forever. That persistent head leaves a nice delicate lacing. Nose is floral and citrus hops and caramel malt. Taste is caramel malt upfront with citrus hops and a touch of rye flavor followed by some resin in the finish. Medium, dry mouth feel. Decent stuff. Thanks Kevin!
