Maltiness is there too, drank very easy for the alc content. Solid brew. Thanks to secret santa for this brew! esjaygee (1581), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Bottle Pours a slightly hazy dark redish copper color witha thin but lasting off white head. Chunky sticky lacing. Rather sweet fruity aroma like the fruit cocktail I remember at school luches as a kid. But with a nice hoppy slant as well. Flavor is more of a woody bitter hops and the ABV is noticeable as well. Dry hopping really brings it to the front. Pretty strong.

Aromas are sweet and floral with a bit of sharp hops. Flavor is well balanced, mixing back and forth between sweet caramel flavors and crisp floral hops. Excellent brew again from Founders. yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Updated: Feb 17, 2009Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown/amber with hardly any head. Aroma of piney and floral hops. Flavor is fairly hoppy and quite bitter. Some sweet malt (sort of a raisin taste) comes out as the beer warms. Didn’t really get any rye. I expected this to be a little maltier actually. Mouthfeel is fairly thick and heavy. This beer reminds me of SN Celebration Ale. Interesting beer. I’d probably have this again, but I’m not in any rush.
Update 2/17/09: HUGE head in this one. Flavor of sweet malt and lots of rye grains. Flavor is sweet and quite grainy initially with some rye in the finish. Some light fruits (strawberry maybe). Palate is a little weak though. Still not digging this one. I’m keeping my original score.
