Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

It has a nice blend of spice from the hops and tangy-ness from the rye. Sweet, but well balanced. TheShat really nailed the tea character in this beer. Good Stuff.

Dark amber, light foam. Citrusy nose, slightly sweet malt accent. The body is surprisingly resiney with some piney notes. A good sweet maltiness backs things up nicely, makes this otherwise standard American amber a rather nice brew.

Translucent red-amber w/ light brown foam. Big, grapefruit & pine nose w/ hints of caramel, biscuits & rye bread. Moderately sticky feel. Sweet caramel malt foundation supports a very hoppy, citrusy, spicy flavour. Long, very bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Orange-brown with a thin, creamy, tan head. Fruity hop nose with a little rye. Orange-grapefruit; subtle rye. Citrus peel persists. Medium-light, medium carb.

Good nose of piney hops, notes of rye bread and some malt. Hazy amber body, small off-white head. Quite bitter flavor, ryeish, light malty end.

Bottle. Pours a medium amber with a tan head. nose is fresh, big hops. Taste is semi fruity, very creamy texture. very smooth on the aftertaste, but somewhat lacking in a big flavor I anticipated. Good brew though

Dark in color with an off white head. Nice poured beer. Aroma of hops and bread. Taste is sweet with some hops and a little pepper and rye spice aspect. Nice body. Very balanced and good and clean.

12oz bottle. Was this worth sitting in an extra hour of LA traffic to get? Definitely. Dark red-brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, rye, and spicy hops. The flavor has rich and spicy malts with a nice spicy and floral hop balance leading to a medium-bitter finish and some light lingering sweetness. A robust and flavorful ale with complex and interesting flavors. This is just what I needed after a slew of west coast IPAs in the last few days.
