| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2006 The aroma has hints of pine and floral. The color is amber with a nice tan head. The flavor of the hops comes through immediately and finishes with a nice spiceness on the palate. As the glass was drunk the hops became more balanced with the hops and the finish was pleasently smooth. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

I feel like I’m chewing on a spicy hop, and I know what that is like, cuz I just ate a fuckin hop a hour ago. Luckily, hops are pleasing to me. If I could kiss a girl and she tasted like this all the time, aight. ditmier (1110), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Bottle acquired via polomagnifico...Ryan is an amazing trader!!! This one is a nice crimson colored haze with an small eggshell head. Taste is sweet roasted malt followed by a tart hop bitterness that lingers on the palate. Interesting spiciness...definitely taste the influence of the rye, although it isn’t as dominant as in the Founder’s Black Rye recipe. Tasty but not earth-shattering like some by this brewer. pineypower (1104), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
