Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

A pretty tasty pour, on tap. Lots of hoppy character with some spice, though tastes more like a good hoppy red ale. Citrus and spicy. Quite nice.

The aroma has hints of pine and floral. The color is amber with a nice tan head. The flavor of the hops comes through immediately and finishes with a nice spiceness on the palate. As the glass was drunk the hops became more balanced with the hops and the finish was pleasently smooth.

Crushed with Jakebra. I feel like I’m chewing on a spicy hop, and I know what that is like, cuz I just ate a fuckin hop a hour ago. Luckily, hops are pleasing to me. If I could kiss a girl and she tasted like this all the time, aight.

2009 Bottle - Thanks beerbill! - Pours a hazy rusty orange with a ridiculous head..getting the whole beer in the glass took a good 10 minutes...aroma is massively floral, sticky malt and citrus...flavour is terrifically bitter grain, peach and pineapple?, rye grain on the end, with a boozy, hoppy lingering pleasantness...damn, that was tasty...

Bottle acquired via polomagnifico...Ryan is an amazing trader!!! This one is a nice crimson colored haze with an small eggshell head. Taste is sweet roasted malt followed by a tart hop bitterness that lingers on the palate. Interesting spiciness...definitely taste the influence of the rye, although it isn’t as dominant as in the Founder’s Black Rye recipe. Tasty but not earth-shattering like some by this brewer.

Pours out a nice reddish light copper color with a moderate fluffy off white, lasting head. Nice aroma of citrus and pine hops, rye bread and some other earthy notes. Taste is complex and very well balanced, hops with some sweet notes, rye malts and a slightly dry, bitter finish. I like it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy ruby color with some floaties. The decent size beige head is mostly lasting. Aroma is caramel with pine and citrus hops. Flavor begins with sweet malts but finishes with a well balanced bitterness from the pine/citrus hops. medium bodied. The finish is rather dry. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
