Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Bottle. Large beige creamy like head that mostly lasted. Cloudy amber color. Good display of lacework. Grapefruit, pine, elderflower, caramel, grain and fruit. Medium bodied with a very dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with counter sweet notes. Dry and bitter lingering finish.

Poured beautifully ... deep red with a waterfall cascade of a head that stayed airy and stuck to the glass. The aroma is grand ... like a blooming citrus grove. This is flavorful, yet restrained, with a floral hop burst up front, but a settling fruit salad bitterness to finish.

Poured a lightly hazy, amber red color with a large off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light pine, caramel malts, floral hops, and citrus fruits as well. Taste of light caramel, toffee malts, some pine, citrus, tropical fruits, and a dry, rye finish. Faint alcohol and a full mouthfeel. Really hoppy, nice.

Thanks to LawStudent09 for sharing. Copper color with no head. Big pine hop aroma. Lots of spicy rye flavor and some more pine. A little caramel finish.

2004 draught at MBGSBF. I believe they said it used 15% rye but you dont really taste the rye. More of an astringent bitterness on the finish, earthy and almost metallic. There’s plenty of other malt in there to give it some sweetness through the main part of the body which is coarse and lightly watery. But not too much so and as it wraps up the flavor, a nice mildly sweet honey/malt flavor lingers on as well as the bitter finish. Good moderately deep red color, small off-white head and a very resinous aroma.

Thanks to Leopoldstoch for the trade. Pours a hazy deep orange with a sticky beige head and awesome lace. Aroma is thick and pungeant with tons of hops and sticky sweet caramel malts. Flavor is citrus, orange, grapefruit, and lots of caramel, toffee, pine and a great sharp bitterness. Damn good mouthfeel- smooht thick full with a great bitterness. Fresh hops all the way through. Bottle courtesy of Thaichile. Bottle opened with a loud "POP" and the beer came gushing out! I was able to catch some of it and luckily it stopped gushing shortly after. It poured a murky reddish-brown with a massive long lasting foamy off-white head. Pour this sucker very carefully! I had to wait a while before I could actually drink it. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt, some spices and a good amount of rye. Flavour of sweet malt, rye, spices, some alcohol and a long hoppy finish. Medium to full bodied. Unique and quite enjoyable.

Pours amber with a patchy white head, fizzy, with spotty lacing. Aroma is malt (straw, meal), yeast (dough), rye, caramel and nuts, flowers and hoppy pine notes. Medium bitterness, sweaty yeast, malty dough, rye, earth, barn notes with a floral finish. Medium bodied and refreshing fizzy palate.
