Aug 25, 2005 GTM. Smells like a pale ale or an IPA. Floral, hoppy. Nice amber color. A really solid brew. Really nice flavor. Hoppy, with malt. As the commercial description states, "impressively balanced." Hard to describe the individual elements.

Mar 22, 2005 Dark hazy coppery reddish, thick off white creamy head. A tight and complex nose of grapefruit, pine, rye, and sweet toffee, with lesser notes of apricot and white pepper. The flavor is similar to aroma with very dry citrus and rye notes dominating up front with only a tiny hint of sweet malt in the background. Not too much balance here, but really it’s not necessary for this style. Hopheads will love this! Medium bodied, zesty carbonation, ultra dry, bitter rye finish. I could drink a lot of this in one sitting. Another great one from these guys...

May 20, 2005 Pours copper and cloudy with a decent tan head. Aroma is mostly hops but you can tell that there is some malt underneath. The flavor is bold and robust. Very malty and warm.. Notes of caramel, fruits, and a nice citrus grapefruit kick on the back of each sip that makes you take notice that this is a fine brew.. Very creamy on the palate. Full in the mouth and quite warming on the backside. This was surprisingly better than I expected. Quite tasty.. I’ll drink this another time!

Jun 22, 2006 This beer poured highly carbonated, actually over flowed out of the bottle, then took about 20 minutes to finally pour into the glass. The head is light brown thick and frothy like whipped egg white. The body has yeast floating around the red-orange body and looks wonderful. The smell is funky, rye, caramel, light citrus hops, and a powdered drink mix aroma. The taste is syrupy upfront with a bitter hop bite that is followed by a smooth blast of sweetness leaving a bready like quality in the finish. This is a wonderful brew that has alot going on def going to go back to this brew.

Jul 16, 2006 Updated: Oct 6, 2007Rye adds a sour taste vs usual malt sweetness. Nice lingering hop bitterness. The sour/bitter sticks with you. The color is crimson as claimed.

Jul 21, 2005 The hops in this beer are forward, but not overwhelming. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, malt, citrus, rye. Taste starts with hop bitterness with a smooth follow-through. Slightly sweet. Comfortable palate. Overall, a refreshing, tasty beer.

Sep 25, 2005 Very dark red with big frothy head. Aroma is very citrusy and piney. Flavor is big with hops and very woodsie. Finish is rye and sweet malt.
