Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Pours a reddish amber with a good sized off white head. The aroma has some caramel, a bit of spice and lots of rye. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and bitter. The caramel sweetness is balanced with a great hop bitterness and the added ry just gives it that uniqueness that helps this beer stand out. Good dry finish. Excellent

Pours amber with an extreme amount of frothy, off-white head. Strong odor of citrus hops. Thin mouthfeel, but a surprisingly subtle, complex taste. Starts off with a light sweet maltyness, then shifts to warm grapefruit and ends with a nice hoppy bitterness. I really like this beer.

12oz. brown bottle served in a shaker pint. Pours a brilliant, reddish copper with about a finger of light tan head. Big piny hop aroma. Starts off with a solid malty base with some spicy rye. Great hop bite that is piny with some grapefruit. Long lingering finish with the hops. I’m glad this is available in my area now. This is a great beer.

Deep, aromatic with hops galore...smells like wet, sticky hops. A field of fresh hops practically dropping off the vine. A bouquet of wildflowers with hop vines intertwined, handcrafted by me- for my girlfriend. Clear yet deep and mystique copper colour. Above view of the brew looks like a view from space showing a hurricane in process. Thin beige rim of foam that follows the brew to the bottom. "Take it to the end!" :) Rich mouthfeel with a hearty hop flavor. Like eating a steak. I don’t eat steak anymore but when i did, it was like this beer. A giant steak shaped pile of hops. Flavors absolutely tastey- full grapefruit citrus hop flavor. This brew inspired me, its well crafted, well balanced body was appealing in every way and a real treat.

Bottle. Pours ruby red with a small head. Aroma is very floral, with sharp citrus and grapefruit. Flavor starts with spicy rye and caramel amber, with perfect amount of hopping. Just a well constructed offering from Founders. Finish is long, hoppy, and spicy. This has got to be my favorite rye pa to date.

Pours a muddy copper with a fluffy head. Big rye and citrus aroma. Nice dryness and bitterness at the beginning that yields to a sweet body that is nicely balanced. Lingering bitterness at the end but not overpowering. Great beer!

Draft at Earth Bread and Brewery in Philly. Pours orange amber with an off white head. Huge piny floral hop aroma with some sweeter malt in the background. The flavor follows with more piny and floral hops, with some lighter notes of sweet malts, citrus, spices and maybe a hint of rye. Awesome.
