The aroma has some caramel, a bit of spice and lots of rye. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and bitter. The caramel sweetness is balanced with a great hop bitterness and the added ry just gives it that uniqueness that helps this beer stand out. Good dry finish. Excellent naivepegasus (192), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Pours amber with an extreme amount of frothy, off-white head. Strong odor of citrus hops. Thin mouthfeel, but a surprisingly subtle, complex taste. Starts off with a light sweet maltyness, then shifts to warm grapefruit and ends with a nice hoppy bitterness. I really like this beer. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2008 Deep, aromatic with hops galore...smells like wet, sticky hops. A field of fresh hops practically dropping off the vine. A bouquet of wildflowers with hop vines intertwined, handcrafted by me- for my girlfriend. Clear yet deep and mystique copper colour.
Above view of the brew looks like a view from space showing a hurricane in process. Thin beige rim of foam that follows the brew to the bottom. "Take it to the end!" :) Rich mouthfeel with a hearty hop flavor. Like eating a steak. I don’t eat steak anymore but when i did, it was like this beer. A giant steak shaped pile of hops. Flavors absolutely tastey- full grapefruit citrus hop flavor. This brew inspired me, its well crafted, well balanced body was appealing in every way and a real treat. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA

The flavor follows with more piny and floral hops, with some lighter notes of sweet malts, citrus, spices and maybe a hint of rye. Awesome.
