Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Pours a slightly cloudy, almost glowing red color with a thick, frothy, fairly well-retined tan head. Some nice lacing is left on the sides of the glass. Unique aroma of dry hops, mild spices, and some caramel malts that balance it out a bit. The taste is definitely quite hoppy with a profound bitterness, but it suited this beer. Not unpleasant at all. The malted rye is definitely noticeable too, as it has some grainy qualitites about it. The finish was long and flavorful as the hop bitterness lingered in the aftertaste. Quality brew.

Bottle. Pours a redwood color with a huge fluffy head, may have just been the pour. Aroma was nice and hoppy with a slight hint of the rye. Flavor was yummy hoppy a tinge of the rye but mainly floral aromatic hops. Palate was nicely bodied well matched with it’s flavors. I also noticed quite a bit of sedment. Overall I found this to be very tasty, disappointing me that I only had one.

12 oz bottle, thanks to Styles for getting this one to me. This poured a a nice amber color with a descent off white head. Great hoppy aroma with a nice side of rye. I love rye beers! Flavor was well balanced. Good hop bitterness throughout with a nice caramel maltiness in the middle. I actually had this at the beach on a hot summer day, it was a perfect match! This ain’t no Hop Rod Rye, but almost as good! Thanks Chris!

Bottle pours a ruby brown body with a hint of red in the head. Lots of rye with the malt and a great complimentary hop balance of resins, and fruit like notes. Drink fresh.

Thanks dra19. Pours a ruby red with a one finger off white fizzy head. The aroma is very tart and sweet, rye is very obvious, mandarin oranges, hoppy, sweet citrus. The flavor is sweet, a little waxy, hoppy, citrusy, a bit of alcohol, rye, oranges. Dry well carbonated palate and a nice finish. A very very nice beer.

Aroma is citrus hops with hay and grass. Orange amber hue with a tan head that left good lace. Flowery hop flavor with a bitter finish. Watery flat palate.

Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish body with a small, white head. Smell: Caramel malt nose marked by a distinct rye component and full hop notes of grapefruit. Taste: Pleasing caramel maltiness with a very mild sweetness interrupted by a sharp, spicy rye jolt and held in its track by a firm bitterness and flavors of grapefruit pith. Spicy, raspy finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slight stickiness to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: It’s all kinds of okay! I’d go for another, really I would.
