| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Clear red color with a moderate tan head that settles into a ring and laces nicely. Aroma is complex with plenty of hop tones up front (grapefruit, pine needles and grass) Caramely malts make their presance known through the middle and finished off with a spicy snap. Flavor interestingly takes that exact path just backwards... Loads of spiciness followed by caramel sweet and finishes with lingering, refreshing, palate clensing hops. Very solid well balanced beer.
