Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Red pour with a white head. Aroma is dominated by hops and some darker caramel malts. Flavor is really well balanced between the malt and hops. Lots of hops flavor with a moderately bitter finish.

Hazed, reddish amber appearance with a large beige head and very good lacing. Early on, the aroma is grainy, moderately sweet malts, but wait a whiff and you run into flowery and resinous hops. Flavors also bounce back and forth, with the earthy rye in sync with the spicy, citrusy hops. Spicy hops dominate the lingering finish as well. Just wish I had easy access to this brewer in general and this beer specifically.

Pours a cloudy, dark amber with a thin, off-white head. Piney hops and sweet malts in the aroma. Tastes of piney and citrus hops, caramel, toast, cereal, sweet malts, with a bit of earthiness and hop bitterness in the finish. A rather unique brew and was definetely a treat for me.

I’ve been gravitating to the RyePAs lately, and this is just another one, I’ve drank a lot of this beer recently, and for my money it’s one of the better values out there.

Pours a dark amber. Piney resin and hops on the nose. Flavor of pinecone and hops. This beer is INCREDIBLE! The hops and rye create one of the most pleasanlty bitter beers I have ever had. A new favorite!

Draft. Pours a hazy amber with a creamy, light tan head. Pine, resin, and malt sweetness in a strangely familiar nose. Medium carbonation with a medium-light, dry mouthfeel. Hops dominate the palate on this one. Big pine notes, a little sweetness from the malt, and then more bitterness poured on top. A lingering, bitter finish. Rye and lots of hops says it all. Good, but I am not sure I would want to session this one.

This is a very unique and drinkable with lots of character in its aroma and flavor. If you like hoppy beers, you are going to love this. Had this at my favorite Thai restaurant and it went with the spicy food and the sushi appetizers perfectly.
