BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Dec 12, 2008 Bottle from ucusty I believe. Poured a deep red-amber color with a thick, dense off-white head that slowly diminished to a thick layer and left nice lacing. Aroma of light rye bread, a hint of ice tea, a tinge of caramel, and some earthy, floral hops. A dry, crisp entry greets the tongue as the flavor quickly transitions into an earthy, floral hoppiness with some soft pine dryness and undertones of rye malt with a nice breadiness. Ends with a moderate dryness. Moderate carbonation and solid mouthfeel. I enjoyed this more than I anticipated, the last rye pale ale I tried was not a favorite. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA Dec 11, 2008 12oz bottle.
