Served on tap at Founders Brewing Company. Appearance is Old Gold with a micro white head. Nice simple pale ale with a yeasty flavor on top. Had this in celebration of the first Boilermaker victory of the season.

Pours slightly hazy golden. Not much for a nose. Pale, light hop, crips taste...refreshing at least. Blaze312 (132), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2009 On tap at founders. Pours a clouded yellow color. Aroma is that you would find of a typical macro style beer. Taste is about the same. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad beer, and I bought a growler for my dad who quite enjoyed it. However compared to some of the other amazing beers at Founders. This one just doesn’t quite keep up. I would recommend getting this one for someone who isn’t a huge fan of most microbrews. Someone who is used to a bud light would rate this as a great start into the craft beer world. FlssmrBrewAlum (1167), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Sampled draft at the brewpub (Grand Rapids, MI). Pours acloudy yellow, champagnesque with small whitish head that dies to a film. Aromas are light fruity pear, and apple with a touch of champagne yeast. Bright and lively. Initial is light bodied, a bit fruity, crisp with a touch of dryness. Moves into mellow sweetness, very light, easy on the palate. A summer guzzler without much going on. Still, a decent summer offering.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 21, 2009 On tap at Founders Fest 2009. Pours golden clear with a fizzy white head. Pours just a like a typical macro beer. Not very appealing on the pour. Aroma is of wheat, malt, grass, and hops. Taste is minimally hoppy with only trace elements of hops. Biscuity malt backbone. There is also wheat and some spice. Mouthfeel is light and very carbonated. The first Founders beer I have disliked. MereLikesBeer (154), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

He asked the guy at the beer tent what kind of beer it was and the guy was like "it’s just kind of a typical ale"...little did he mention that this is the beer they give someone if they were to come into the Founders taproom and order a Budweiser. Not so cool. It was a pretty lame beer, not much flavor, not much aroma, not much of anything :(
