Short, 12oz twist-off bottle. Filtered, deep amber, creamy light tan colored head. Light aroma of malted wheat. Nutty flavor, malt sweetness. light bodied. kinda too light. Overall, Boring. I hate to say it, the new A-B Michelob DunkelWiess looks, smells, and tastes more to style than this one. Its an Amber Wheat, not a Dunkelwiess.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Douglas88. Pours dark amber color with a good half-inch head in my common shaker glass. Shows a "clean" beer smell with some mineral water to it. Taste shows some amber malt, not much wheat spiciness. Kind of dry, without much bitterness. Mouthfeel gets a little thin. But then some peppery hops come through, showing this is a European style, after all. Just pleasant, but that’s okay. We’ve already found some better beers out of Utah.

Another hook up from douglas88. reddish orange color. Toasted malt and bread aroma. Candi sugar flavor with some wheat and baked bread in there as well. The baked grain flavors give way to a slight sweetness. Decent but i’ve had better amber/brown/dunk’ls recently.

Bottle courtesy of douglas88. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of wheat, vegetables, spice. Tastes of caramel, earth, some spice, sweet malt.

Thanks to douglas88 for the bottle. Pours a reddish brown with very minimal head. Stale cardboard aroma with a little malt thrown in. Smooth malty taste with a hint of fruit. I thought they could have done more with this.

Bottle bought at Smiths. Pours a dark orange color with a small white head. The aroma is wheat, some malts and an earthy aspect. The flavor is fairly light and somewhat sweet; some malt and hops, a wheaty/earthy quality and some roasted notes. Decent, and sort of unusual, a bit thin.

Is it an amber wheat or is it a dunkel? I’d lean more toward the amber wheat in appearance, but the flavor is oddly closer to a dunkel. Perhaps this is the 1st non-dark colored dunkel?
