JF_GRIND (1218), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 10, 2008 Curious find in a South Jersey liquor store, not sure how a Utah pumpkin beer made its way to Marlton, NJ. However, had to try it, Punk’n is lean on malt, has a dash of allspice and pumpkin flavors. Fizzy beer, curious what the ABV is. hopscotch (4595), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Smells terrific, like carrot cake or pumpkin roll. Medium to full-bodied and almost chewy with tingly carbonation. The flavor leans barely on the sweet side of balance and is nicely spiced. Toffee stands out. Finishes crisp and then lightly sweet. One of the top three pumpkin ales I’ve ever tried. I understand many people don’t like pumpkin ales, but I gotta go way against the grain on this one. Big thanks to Douglas88 for floating this one my way! ucusty (1217), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2008 Clear copper pour. Thin tan head and a little spotty lace. Nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose. Pumpkin spice flavor. jjpm74 (3160), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 5, 2008 Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells earthy. Tastes of light pumpkin and spice. Decent. dkachur (900), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Auburn colored pour with a big head, good lacing and great retention. Nice looking beer. Straightforward pumpkin spice and pumpkin aroma. Taste is grain, pumpkin and light spice. Medium bodied. I rather like this one.
