Commercial Description:
Our award winning 8th Street Ale is based on an English-style "Best Bitter" which is the most common ale served in British pubs. What makes 8th Street Ale uncommon is its mellow bitterness and its slightly sweet malt flavor. It's aroma is derived from rare, imported Kentish hops, and lots of them.

Tap. Very hoppy. I’m a fan, but others in group couldn’t stomach the Hops. Fruity aroma. Very similar to Sweetwater’s 420. Big fan.

Tatsy brew. It is a bit to hoppy/bitter for my taste but overall a good beer. Brown/amber in color good all year round

SLightly metallic taste and smell. Opened another bottle, still a little bit, but not like the first. Lightly hoppy and a little sweet due to the malts.

On draft at the Yardhouse in Phoenix, served yellow in color with a good head and good lacing. Floral hops were the feature in the aroma that caused me to shake my head before getting started (not my favorite hopping approach to beer), almost like the floral aroma that now annoys me in Blue Moon. Flavor revealed some fruitiness underneath, but the floral hops were too much (not in quantity or bitterness, just too accented) for me, English style or not. Mouthfeel was moderate, finishing a little bit watery, kinda like flower water. Not my cup of tea (or beer). Needed more malts, more depth of flavor.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with cbkschubert (thanks!). Poured a medium and see through orange color with a very large sized off white head. Aromas of floral, citrus, and spicy. Tastes of floral, citrus, caramel, and a spicy finish. Nice spicy and lightly bitter finish. This one grew on me more as I drank the bottle.

A slightly light orange pour with a slight sweet malt aroma. A light malty flavor with an off bitter that is odd but not really bad. Not a beer I’m crazy about but could drink.

Looked like clear, light whiskey, thin off-white head. Smells of alcohol and pine, spicey wood. Spicey flavor. Not quite dry w/ light-medium body.
