Commercial Description:
Our award winning 8th Street Ale is based on an English-style "Best Bitter" which is the most common ale served in British pubs. What makes 8th Street Ale uncommon is its mellow bitterness and its slightly sweet malt flavor. It's aroma is derived from rare, imported Kentish hops, and lots of them.

pours amber with a nice foamy head.Has a light Hoppy scent with hints of citrus orange perhaps. Starts off lightl hops moves into a citrus and yeast flavor. Has little aftertaste. Overall weak and watery but nice within style.

Thanks to Craig for the bottle. Good sweet hop aroma. Appearance is typical plae look with thin head. Very flavorful with a nice bit to it. Goes down smooth and a good companion to food.

12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours golden with a fluffy white head that stays pretty well and laces the glass in weblike patterns. Aromas of light floral hops over crisp pale malts. Flavor is a very well balanced blend of floral and citrus hops over nice pale malts and light grains. There are some hints of orange and a touch of yeast in this as well. Palate is light crisp and clean with a slight bitter finish. Not a bad pale at all.

like a well-trained dog captive all day in an apartment, this baby had apparently been pent up pretty long: a bunch of gas frantically hissed through the slit of open air exposed by the slightest upward bending of the bottle cap. thus audibly announcing it’s exuberance, it filled the glass first with soapy dense foam, and then let a clear golden orange brew make a slow appearance below. that fine head was creamy and lasting. the 8th street has a fresh vegetable aroma, possibly some carrot and yellow bell pepper, with orange zest, raw pie dough and fresh pencil shavings. pleasantly brisk carbonation, rather dry taste, some french baguette pale malts with a healthy dose of citrus tasting hops along with their slightly puckering bitterness. pretty nice for a mild, flagship ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with an off white head. Fruit on the nose but not much else. Clean and fruity, without a whole lot of bittering for the style. The sweet maltiness predominates. I enjoyed the fruiyty aspects of this one even though I did not think it was representative of the style. Thanks to FlacoAlto for the bottle.

Copper in color with a white head. Very subtle hop aroma. Medium body with a little hop bite. Served with too much carbonation per style but overall a very tasty bitter.

On tap at the hotel restaurant in The Bolders Resort. Copper color with medium white head. Mild aroma consisting of caramel malt and a touch of citrus hops. Easy drinking with a good balance of hops and malt flavors throughout. A refreshing beer.

Clear copper color with very little head. Not much of an aroma. Flavor is estery and not much hop flavor. A smooth medium body beer. Worth a try.
