The aroma has a bit of sweet earthy malt, a bit of earthy/floral/grassy hops, but remains mild overall. The taste is mild earthy caramel malt, slightly sweet without getting sticky, and has hints of floral/earthy hops. Light-medium body, medium carbonation, finishes clean and without much aftertaste. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with fluffy white head that laced the glass. Sweet caramel cnose wirh a hint of sprucy hops. Caramel comes out again in the flavor along with a touch of sweetness. Bitter finish, but more carbonated than I would expect and English bitter to be. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Soft floral hop aroma, fruity, with some sweet malt. Flavor is rather fruity as well with a clean lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel was light bodied with fizzy carbonation. A nice easy drinking Pale Ale with moderate bitterness and a clean refreshing finish. pineypower (1095), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

The head was just huge and really fluffy. Ok for the aroma it was nice and hoppy. The taste is very clean and very drinkable with a nice touch of hop bitterness. A very drinkable brew. I liked this one! billk (300), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2006 Updated: Jan 17, 2006bottle 12oz. Clear amber w a copper tint. Decent fairly large bubble carbonation, good off white head that lasted fairly well, some lace. Aroma is English med. rst. malt & hops with, to me, a somewhat metallic essence. Flavor is English med. rst. malt & hops with a nice bitterness on the palate and finish, well balanced with the semi sweet malt. I don’t really care for this style but this is a decent quality brew who’s flavor improved as it lost its chill. There is a rather astringent, alcaline character to the bitterness that I’m not used to. Into medium bodied. There was a trace of fresh, clean, hop spiciness on the finish. I don’t think it would be difficult to learn to appreciate this style more with this particular offering. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
