Commercial Description:
Our award winning 8th Street Ale is based on an English-style "Best Bitter" which is the most common ale served in British pubs. What makes 8th Street Ale uncommon is its mellow bitterness and its slightly sweet malt flavor. It's aroma is derived from rare, imported Kentish hops, and lots of them.

Very nice English style pale. I wish more ale of this style would hit the shelves. I like our APA style that most breweries have ran with, but for me, the complex English pale style is my favorite. Bready, malty and a touch of grain flavor. Some stone fruit tartness. English Godings and Kent bring this one home. Medium body and not much of a nose up front. Slight dry mouthfeel. Bready notes again on the finigh. Perfect hop/malt balance imho. Paired 8th Street w/ a savory meatloaf dinner. Very recomended comfort food pairing. The mellow malts laid back and finished with more english flavors popping than when drank alone. Nose openes up as the glass warmes....slight candy sweetness. I think this would be perfect served w/ fish and chips! This best bitter is even better on cask, or just tap @ either location. $5.99 a six-pack...hard to argue with that. Very enjoyable Saturday session.

From Sparky27 via trade. Pale copper on the pour with a decent white to off-white head that created good lacing. Aroma is of light citrus, malts and a touch of spicy hops. The flavor is a bit of citrus, some iced tea, and kind of spicy. The mouthfeel is thin, the finish is dry.

(bottle from Sparky27) Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is unique and predominately floral, with light lavender, tea, and a hint of pepper. Flavor is restrained, yet pleasant, with a nice base maltiness that imparts flavors of caramel and apricot that finishes out with just a light touch of bitterness and some grain. Mouthfeel is medium with proper carbonation. This is a highly quaffable bitter. Thanks Eric!

Bottle thanks to Sparky27. Pours a clear light golden orange with a finger of large puffy white head that lasts leaving some loops of soft lacing. Up front citrus and floral hops seem different from the style. Some grainy caramel underneath. Taste is more grainy malt sweetness, and a more English grassy hop bitterness.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! Pours a golden copper color with a large fluffy head. Good head retention and lacing. Fairly assertive floral hops with fruity and malty grain notes. Slightly soapy. Very fruity taste with notes of lime, green apple, grain. Slightly soapy here as well. Medium bodied.
