Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jan 12, 2002 Updated: Feb 22, 2004 Re-Rate 01/12/02: Pours a nice deep amber color, the head beige and moderate, the lace adequate. Nose is malt, but has hints of the English hops. Starts a bit sweet, the middle thinner than I like, the finish is hop spicy and pleasant. Normally have the draught version as with the 'Kilt Lifter', but both are drinkable and not over powering, which make them a likeable beer for most drinkers.
SuperDave70 (766), Arizona, USA Sep 3, 2008 Deep golden pour with a medium foamy head that laces nicely. Aroma of lightly roasted malt and sweet ripe fruit. Flavor is much the same, with a nice light hop bite on the finish. A good brew, but not Four Peaks best. Indulgence (83), Ajo, Arizona, USA Sep 1, 2008 Good local beer company, bottle: this is the company’s most popular brew, aromas of tart fruits, definately some floral and citric hops, fruits like tangerine, pours a 2 finger head, leaves behind some nice lacing, flavors of fruits, like citrus and tangerines, some floral hops, palate is a little bit watery, but finishes with fruty dryness, seems like a toned down Fuller’s, so they hit the mark with the style. Nice local brew ajm (331), USA Aug 30, 2008 CASK. Absolutely! A smooth but formidable-tasting beer whose cream, apple, sugar and plant notes emerge without carbonation. Could have drank this all night, but alas my heart is a wanderer. nbutler11 (163), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours amber from the tap at Four Peaks with a trim white head. Plenty of hops on the nose and a light malty body. Very forgettable in its averageness. Sparky27 (522), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 16, 2008 On tap at Scottsdale location. I’ve had this in bottle but never on draft before. Pours a clear dark gold with off-white head. Nose is light floral hops and citrus. Taste is very similar with a malt background mixed in. Light mouth feel. An ok beer – definitely better on tap
