Commercial Description:
Our award winning 8th Street Ale is based on an English-style "Best Bitter" which is the most common ale served in British pubs. What makes 8th Street Ale uncommon is its mellow bitterness and its slightly sweet malt flavor. It's aroma is derived from rare, imported Kentish hops, and lots of them.

On tap at Scottsdale location. I’ve had this in bottle but never on draft before. Pours a clear dark gold with off-white head. Nose is light floral hops and citrus. Taste is very similar with a malt background mixed in. Light mouth feel. An ok beer – definitely better on tap

Bottle, trade with FlssmrBrewAlum. Tasting notes from Election night! I think I can say this is the best bottled beer from Arizona I’ve ever had, since the only other one was Cave Creek Chili Beer (like a certain senator: all heat, no taste). Pours a light amber color, just a bit of haze. I just rinsed my glass, which is causing some few sudsy bubbles. Smell offers some nice, gentle English hops, staying true to its style target. But bitterness is surprisingly sharper in the taste. Hops dance on the tongue, aided by standard carbonation. Toasty malt backbone. This one’s a delight and a winner. Unlike a certain senator currently 70 electoral votes behind (9:55 pm).

Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of citrus, hay, some malt. Tastes lightly bitter and resiny with some sweet malty hints. Enjoyable.

Pours a clear, light, golden-copper color with a lasting, foamy, off-white head. Patches of cobweb lacing coat the glass well. Aromas include a toasty caramel malt base, glazed biscuit, floral and citrus hops, and a touch of yeasty funk that hints at a mild infection. The flavor follows suit, lightly sweet biscuit and caramel being balanced by peppery, floral hops. The mild infection imparts a hint of sourness that definitely should not be there. Light on body, with delicate carbonation, the finish is dry and on the bitter side. This is not a great beer to begin with, and the infection certainly doesn’t help.

Pours a copper-orange with minimal head. Aroma is of hops. Taste is of a weak IPA that fades quickly. It leaves you wanting more. Not bad, but I prefer beers with fuller body.

Tap at the Tempe brewpub. Amber color with little head. Light caramel and floral aromas. Medium body with smooth carbonation. Flavor is roast caramel and floral. Much like an ESB.
