paiste2002 (148), Saugus, California, USA Aug 19, 2009 Tap at Tempe. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma is of spicy earthy saaz hops and malt. Flavor is crisp, spicy hops, caramel malt, finish is very clean and refreshing. Great summer brew. mmbt7 (26), Moorhead, Minnesota, USA Apr 14, 2009 A quality brew from Four Peaks and another excellent brew for the beginner. BuckNaked (1204), Tempe, Arizona, USA Mar 1, 2006 On draught at Tempe brewpub: Clear golden yellow with a thin white head that does hav nice retention. The aroma is spicy, earthy, and floral hops (but not very assertive), light fruits, along with a hint of dusty malt. The taste is very crisp, clean, and yet round, creamy and full. The carbonation is moderate, yet sprizty and lively on the tongue, while the body is light. Flavors of spicy/grassy/floral hops come through, but by no means are anything like an IPa, along with sweet fruit, light earthy bread, and doughy malts. Very approachable for the average drinker, and not the imperial/harvest/double barrel-aged type that’s going to get talked up on ratebeer, but a very solidly brewed beer all around. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Feb 6, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden color with thin white head. Sprucy noble hop aroma with a hint of cereal grains. Grains dominate the flavor with a touch of sweetness. The finish is somewhat bitter. Nice beer. FlacoAlto (2473), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jun 17, 2005 This beer has a nice creamy, pale colored head. The beer itself is a full gold color and is quite clear. The aroma is fruity with notes of apricot and peaches. This beer is quite smooth and creamy on the palate up front. There is a light bitterness in the finish, which definitely matches the dominant hoppy fruit notes quite well. I get notes of apricots, and sweet citrus fruits like grapefruit. This is nice and light on the palate and it goes down so fast, and I still want there to be more in my glass. This is so nice, refreshingly hoppy and light, perfect as a summer quaffer. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Apr 18, 2005 tap at the brewpub-pours a golden yellow hue with a nice white head. big grainy/spicy german hop aroma. flavors were haygrass, lemon and big spicy german hops. pretty decent for a light beer from this brewery! Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 17, 2005 Updated: Dec 12, 2005Complex is right. No aroma to speak of except a little bitter. Gold color to it. Had a bland flavor to it may have to go back and have one more to get a better sense of this beer
Tap. Had a full glass this time rather than sampler glass. Aroma something was there but hard to explain maybe some fresh sent of hand soap. Staw body with white head. Flavor had a mild bitterness to it like most swill. But if this was served in cans like Miller or Bud maybe more people would drink it. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA Mar 15, 2005 Golden yellow with small head and lacing.
Light hops and citrus aroma.
