The pour was fairly usual for the style, above average, nice presentation. The aroma was citrus hops for the most part, some slight floral notes. The flavor was citrus, floral, some light pine, but the malt depth was a little weak (biscuity if anything), leaving a slight watery element to the flavor. Not a bad brew, just need to beef up the base beer-ness and we might have something! Thanks for joining me, Bill! GAManiac (1184), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a very light golden amber with a small soapy white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving little lacing. I think the appearance suffered a bit being from the growler.
The aroma is dominated by the sweet citrus hops, though it’s not over-the-top hoppy. There is some malt sweetness but not much.
The initial taste is of the juicy tropical citrus, pineapples and oranges especially. The finish has a little more pine presence and leaves a nice bitterness after each sip.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with good carbonation and makes for an extremely drinkable IPA. This is my first beer from Four Peaks and I definitely enjoyed it. mmbt7 (26), Moorhead, Minnesota, USA

Pours a pale golden amber hue, well hazed, with moderate bright white head that laces fairly well. Aromas are a nice hoppiness, citrusy notes mixed with tropical fruits, pale and carmel malt sweetness balances with decent florals. Initial is medium bodied, a good ipa, with citrus fruits and good tropical notes on display, pale and carmel malt sweetness balances. A bit of a boring finish, with decent bitterness. Aftertaste leaves bitterness and mango and tropical fruit notes. Solid IPA, but I’m a sucker for tropical fruit hop feels. Good pale malt, ok grapefruit citrus. A very sessionable, lighter IPA that packs some good flavors. Nothing too sweet, nothing to bitter. Very nice. Woot! NobleSquirrel (1115), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2009 Bottle via trade with Hellbilly. Pours a pale gold with a soapy/frothy head that dissipates. Nose is super grapefruity and a touch resiny. I get a little sweetness in the nose as well. Pretty great nose, actually. Taste is right up there as well. Would love to have this fresh on tap. Taste is robust, toasty malt backbone with the prickly tartness of the grapefruity hops that is pretty bitter. Super clean and smooth. Nice body. Very good. zathrus13 (1308), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

Very slightly hazy light copper supporting a medium off-white head. Floral and spicy aroma. West Coast IPA flavor profile with prominent grapefruit notes and a stiff malty backbone. Refreshingly smooth texture and a bright crisp finish. Very respectable desert brew. BrotherGrendel (592), San Diego, California, USA
