I kind of miss this beer from when I lived in Mesa. Was usually on sale, and was a fine brew for session drinking. Nothing to hoppy or too malty, just a nice beer for drinking. Although nothing about it lifted my kilt.

Road my rental bike over to Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe for a burger and a beer. They were featured in a tourist magazine for both. Worth it. I don’t know how true to type this was but it was crystal clear amber with a nice white head. Not too strong on the nose or palate with a good flavor.

Pours orange-peach with a thickcream head. Aroma is roast malt and slightly smoky. Flavor is a little light, especially for what I expected from a scottish ale called "kiltlifter". Mildly malty and smoky with a light hoppiness.

Orange amber color. Smell of hops, malt, burnt caramel, honey and nuts. Taste of malt, caramel, roasted nuts, toffee and bread. Very watery.

Served from 12-oz bottle at Morton’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale, AZ. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a thick lumpy off-white head that has some excellent lacing and retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, some apple skin, and a touch of smoked peat. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of some grainy caramel malt, a touch of apple and some honey. Finish is slightly metallic with the slightly high alcohol but has a sweet caramel aftertaste that linger around after the finish.

Received this off Bockyhorsey. Deep amber color with a small fizzy head. Malty with a sweet taste. The smoke flavor is detectable, but barely. Slight bitterness. Enjoyable.

Growler, via BA NitroGen. Pours a rusty brown body, clear, with a fizzy one finger off-white head that faded to a thin film. Some spotty lacing. Nose is slightly sweet with lots of crystal and toasted malt, slightly grainy cereal notes, minimal hops, and a touch of honey. Flavor is grainy and slightly sweet with a smack of honey on the finish. Pretty simple and straightforward. Some crystal malt iced tea notes throughout. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with some risidual sugar stickiness. Moderate soft fizzy carbonation. Overall, this was drinkable, but it really lacked depth.

Thaks to riversideAK for the bottle. Amber pour with a small brownish head. Light hint of smoke on the nose. Flavor is some roast, light smoke and carmalized sugar. Very smooth and easy drinker for a 6% ale.
