| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, light brown body with a thin, bubbly head.
Smell: Meager caramel-minded maltiness with a small waft of smoke and fruit note.
Taste: Mild dark caramel malt character with a pinch of earthy brown sugar. Very slight smokiness. Hint of fruit. Light, inexpressive hops. Overall, a bit lacking flavorwise.
Mouthfeel: It’s downright light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Thanks, but no thanks. This is unacceptably bland! The things that pass for an "award-winning flagship ale" these days. Yeesh. bhensonb (4364), Woodland, California, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 11, 2008 From a brown 12oz bottle - Pours a light brown root beer color. Smells very sweet with some malts coming through. Below average carbonation. First sip is both sweet but could use a stronger malt backbone. Weak mouthfeel as it appears to be slightly under carbonated. Not worthy of my time. jimbowood (961), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Scott; leftover from August tasting. Poured a coppery color with not much off white head. Aroma of biscuit, sweet malt, fruti; no smokiness. Flavor was better than the aroma. Biscuit, sweet malt, peat/earth like flavors, with some fruit (grape?). Flavor did linger for a while, with a nice soothingness. Strongest point of the beer. Better than I thought it would be. swillguzzler99 (19), Glendale, Arizona, USA

Good mouth feel. Taste is of malt followed by a quick aftershot of the hops. Pretty good. Indulgence (141), Ajo, Arizona, USA
