jimbowood (737), Athens, Georgia, USA Sep 30, 2008 draft @ the brewpub. Most flavorful offering of the lot but nothing to write home about. Beerlando (1352), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 13, 2008 Hand bottle, courtesy SoLan, via Flaco Alto. Pours a clear golden-amber color with a small, foamy, eggshell colored head. Traces of wispy, sticky lace mark the glass. The aroma shows notes of grapefruit and pine, but with a substantial toffee and biscuit malt base to provide balance. Flavors were similarly straightforward, lightly sweet toffee and caramel malts cut with bitter pine and citrus hops. Very simple. Medium bodied and low to moderate carbonation. Overall, a fairly underwhelming brew. Decent. egajdzis (3021), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 10, 2008 Poured a clear, dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, tropical fruits, toast, and a bit of citrus. Taste of dry, toasted dough, citrus fruits, caramel malts, pine, and a sweeter, grapefruit finish. hopdog (4648), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 10, 2008 Hand bottle thanks to FlacoAlto. Poured a deeper golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, and floral. Tastes of citrus, pine, and light caramel in the back groudn. nbutler11 (218), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours a rich amber from the tap at Four Peaks with a tim off-white head. Mild hops in the nose and on the palate, which cause me to question this beer’s classification as an IPA, but the addition of sweet malts to this brew make it balanced and highly drinkable.
