Aug 19, 2009 Tap at Tempe. Pours an orange color with a white head. Aroma is dominated by citrusy hops. Flavor is overwhelming in your face hops and some light malt. No balance here what so ever.

Jul 1, 2009 On draft w/ bockyhorsey and wife in Tempe at 4P. The pour was orange, ok head, but nothing great for an IPA. The aroma was strong floral aromatic hops, almost perfume-liike, some light caramel under it all, perhaps. The flavor was strong overwhelming floral hops, firm bitter backbone, again lots of floral hopping. Flavor also featured some fruits, perhaps tropical in nature. Not at all my kind of IPA, a poor brew.

Mar 12, 2009 Growler from Sparky27, thank you Eric. Clear orange amber with a ring of beige head--though I figure it’s because the growler had leaked during its travels. I won’t take off points for appearance of palate for this reason. Aroma has lots of caramel and some mango hops. Flavor is much the same with a caramel finishing a little biscuity. Semi-dry finish with bitterness at a 4. Scant carbonation with a medium body. Decent.

Feb 21, 2009 Another pint on tap at the Scottsdale Grill & Tap. Initially hazy pour that settles out to a clear orange, cherry wood under a medium tall and rocky dirty white head. Aroma of pine resin and grapefruit. No surprises in the flavor with plenty of citrusy grapefruit and hop bitterness. Texture a bit inconsistent and tips to watery. Big dry bitter finish. A pretty good big IPA but not as well balanced as their Hop Knot.

Feb 15, 2009 On tap at Tempe Location. Amber color with white head. Aroma: Citus and Floral aroma. Flavor: Good citrus flavor the was cool and crisp on the palate. Good IPA.

Feb 8, 2009 A- Deep dark orange hue, white foamy head, moderate lacing
S- Citrus tones (lemon & orange), sweet bubblegum, but subtle
T- Mild citrus and a touch of pine hops, bread malts show up in the middle, finishes sweet
M- Light/medium-bodied, oily texture, low carbonation
D- Despite the well-masked abv, this is a surprisingly mild IPA with a dearth of hops and flavor, there are much better choices out there and 4Peaks HopKnot is a significant upgrade in this style

Jan 17, 2009 Tap at the brewery 1/13/09. Filtered, golden with a small head. Nose is very light floral with some hop profile. Taste comes off as an English style IPA, very light hop profile, floral, citrusy. Mouth is fluffy, with a medium body and a taste that hangs on all the way down. Smooth drinking good beer.
