Commercial Description:
A strong India Pale Ale that is marked by intense hop flavor and high hop bitterness. This style of beer needed the high hop and alcohol to survive the trip around Africa. Medium to light body and very bitter.

On tap in Scottsdale location. Strongest beer there, and always my fav! although KIltlifter is a close second...Not sure why I got a hangover the next day after 3 beers....but oh well....can’t get too descriptive on the color(it was dark) aroma was hoppy, and the taste was pretty good. Not the greatest IPA, but a VERY good attempt for a local brewery that distributes locally (NOT this particular beer however)

On tap at Scottsdale location 11-12-07. Typical IPA color - tarnished copper. Very little head or lacing. Nose is malty with a pleasant biscuit note, but very little hop aroma. Wish the solid malt/biscuit aroma followed through in the flavor, but it didn’t. This is a very average IPA with little hops showing through; their Hop Knot is a much better choice for a hop head, imo.

Draft - copper body with a beige head. I get a bunch of vinegar in the nose. Quite a bit of malt and some hops, but mostly vinegar. The same in the flavor. Hopefully this is just a bad batch. It reminded me of coloring Easter eggs as a kid. Nice memory, but not what I’m after in an IPA. Again, I’m hoping this is just a bad batch because this effort was a drainpour.

Draft. No notes, going from memory. Has a great hop profile and a decent amount of bitterness. This seems to be the beer I get each time I go to watch a Viking game or grab lunch. I will take notes next time. As it sits, I have no complaints about this well done IPA.

tap @ brewery. very floral fruitty nose that reminded me of "paradise iced tea". flavor is quite the same...tropical fruit and citrus. this wasn’t overly hoppy and actually well balanced for an IPA.

Tap. Golden color, bitter IPA. Not a huge fan. Something different than the norm.

Nothing special, just a typical IPA. A medium body with a decent bitterness. Quaffable.
