Commercial Description:
A strong India Pale Ale that is marked by intense hop flavor and high hop bitterness. This style of beer needed the high hop and alcohol to survive the trip around Africa. Medium to light body and very bitter.

Draught at the brewpub
Light amber color; creamy head. Simple aroma, light but nice hops. Creamy and smooth body, some malt and toffee flavor, but quite buttery, diacetyl. Correct bitterness, lightly citrusy. Not bad, but I prefer the American IPA to this English IPA

Nice full beige head topping a light amber body. Aroma is medium grapefruit. Taste is fairly big grapefruit, quite bitter, sweet, nothing to distinguish it.

Tap at the Tempe brewpub. Copper amber color with a decent white head. Floral aroma. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is fruit and floral over a caramel backing. Finish is mildly astringent.

Roasty red hue, good white head. Light grapefruit scent. Good hoppiness, milky mouthfeel. This place’s best brew, but unfortunately even it isn’t a ’great’ beer.

Poured a clear, dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, tropical fruits, toast, and a bit of citrus. Taste of dry, toasted dough, citrus fruits, caramel malts, pine, and a sweeter, grapefruit finish.

On tap @ Four Peaks poured a clear copper with a creamy lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was light bodied and dry. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light pine with a smooth dry bitter finish.
