DruncanVeasey (1737), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Jul 6, 2008 Deep ruby with a creamy beige collar and lace. Lush Ribena blackcurrant aroma, Worcester sauce/ maybe ketchup sweetness, musty half-rotten apples, a snort of dankness. Some dampness in mouth, again brambly hop,red apple, the subtlest splash of barrely rum, mellow smoky afters. Not really getting any specific spice, and I like that. Another tasty and skilfully balanced beer from Fox.
yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 1, 2008 Bottle, shared by fonefan. It pours an orange-golden slightly hazy body under a beige head of minimal height. More or less a layer of bubbles. Dusty, slightly citric nose with caramel and toffee. Caramel and some spiced notes in the flavor, along with a slightly funky note. Medium body. Dusty, citric and sour finish with some bitterness. Even though it’s a drinkable beer, there’s evidence of infection in it, which would probably have left it undrinkable in short time.
